Terms of Service

Welcome to The Golfers App ("TGA," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by TheGolfersApp. These Terms govern your use of our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using TGA, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
The Golfers App has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to:

TGA connects golfers to arrange and record real-world matches. You agree to agree before you play (tee boxes, drops, and the ball in play), sort out rulings together during the round, post both players' scores within 24 hours and report results honestly, show up (a no-show is a loss), and respect the game and your fellow players. Anything not covered follows the Rules of Golf (USGA / R&A). TGA is a platform for arranging and recording matches; you play real-world golf at your own risk and responsibility, and we are not responsible for what happens during in-person matches between users.
Once a city has enough golfers, TGA hosts or helps organize real, in-person tournaments at local courses (for example singles, pairs, or team formats). Details for each tournament — the course, date, tee time, field size, and cost — are shown on its listing in the app before you register. Participation in real-world events is at your own risk.
Tournaments are not gambling. There are no wagers, no cash prizes, and no payouts. Any prize offered is a non-cash item such as merchandise or a gift card from the course or a sponsor.
TGA may also offer free founding-member gifts, such as a gold TGA ball marker for early golfers in a city. These are free promotional items — no purchase is necessary. Gifts may be limited and offered while supplies last, and may be conditioned on a milestone (for example, a city reaching a set number of founding golfers) before they ship. If you claim one, the mailing address you provide is used only to send it to you. Gifts have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.
What you are paying for. Registering for a tournament reserves your place in the field and pays your green fee for that round in advance. The amount is shown on the tournament listing and on the registration screen before you confirm. It is a one-time charge for a real-world round of golf at the host course — not a subscription, and not a digital product.
How you are charged. Payments are processed by Stripe. TGA never sees or stores your full card number. Your statement will show TGA GOLF. In a pairs format, each golfer pays their own green fee.
Registration and cancellation both close 48 hours before the tee time. This single deadline is what lets us give the course a final, accurate field.
To cancel, open the tournament in the app before the deadline. If something goes wrong with a payment or a refund, email support@thegolfersapptga.com and we will respond within two business days.
What it is. TGA Membership is an optional monthly subscription sold through the App Store in two tiers — Member and Premium. The current price, the billing period, and what each tier includes are shown in the app on the screen where you choose a tier, before you buy. Membership is not a golf club membership: it does not include green fees, does not book or guarantee tee times, and does not entitle you to play any course.
What each tier includes. Both tiers include a member discount on your green fee at participating partner courses, applied at the pro shop counter when you check in through the app. Member includes a set number of member rounds each month; Premium includes unlimited member rounds and adds a Food & Beverage Voucher (one per check-in) and 50% off one large bucket of range balls (once in any 24-hour period, at partner courses that have a range). The exact discount percentage, voucher contents, and range offer are set by each partner course and are shown in the app for that course.
Benefits are provided by the courses, not by TGA. Partner courses are independent businesses. TGA arranges these offers but does not own, operate, or control any course. Courses may join or leave the program, change or withdraw an offer, or close, and the number of participating courses may go up or down during your billing period. We do not guarantee that any particular course, discount percentage, voucher, or range offer will be available for the whole of your membership, and a change to any of them is not by itself a basis for a refund. Benefits are personal to you, cannot be transferred, sold, or shared, have no cash value, apply to your own round only, may not be combined with other offers or discounted rates unless the course says otherwise, and must be redeemed in person at the course through the app. Misuse — including redeeming benefits for someone else, or attempting to redeem without being at the course — may result in your membership being terminated without a refund.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device, or from your Apple account. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription, and neither does deleting your TGA account — you must cancel through Apple. Cancelling stops future renewals; your membership continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Changing tiers. Upgrading from Member to Premium takes effect immediately, and Apple credits the unused portion of your current period toward the new one; your billing date resets to the day of the change. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current period. Apple, not TGA, calculates and applies any proration.
Refunds. Subscriptions bought through the App Store are billed and refunded by Apple, under Apple’s terms. TGA cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases. To request one, use Apple’s “Report a Problem” page at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you believe something has gone wrong on our side, email us and we will help you sort it out with Apple.
Price changes and ending the program. If we change the price of a tier, Apple will ask for your consent before the new price applies to your renewals, in line with Apple’s rules; you may cancel instead. We may add, change, or discontinue membership tiers or benefits, or end the membership program entirely. If we end it, we will stop billing you and your membership will run out at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Who provides them. Verified coaches and hosts on TGA are independent third parties — they are not our employees, agents, or partners, and we do not supervise, direct, or endorse the instruction or the session. They set their own prices, decide their own content, and are responsible for their own qualifications, insurance, licences, and taxes. TGA verifies a badge before someone may charge; that check is not a guarantee of skill, safety, or outcome.
What TGA does. We list the session, take the booking, and process the payment. From the price the golfer pays, TGA retains a platform fee — disclosed to the instructor before they post and shown on their Getting Paid screen — and the rest is paid out to the instructor after the session. Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe; TGA never sees or stores card or bank details.
Cancellations and refunds. You may cancel a paid session for a full refund up to 48 hours before it starts. Within 48 hours the booking is final and the fee is non-refundable. If the instructor cancels, or does not show up, you are refunded in full.
Your risk. Golf instruction and range sessions are physical activities. You take part at your own risk, and any dispute about the quality or conduct of a session is between you and the instructor, though we will step in where our rules have been broken.
The Service — including the TGA name, logo, design, and software — is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Service except as allowed by law.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that match outcomes, handicaps, or rankings are error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TGA and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss, or harm arising from your use of the Service or from real-world matches or events arranged through it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
